Airwave Recording Studios
Marc was introduced by a mutual friend in 1989 to Conrad Rafield, a Birmingham business man with an interest in music, who developed a business plan for a music production company to create custom music and jingles for television and radio. With Marc's musical success and Conrad's business acumen, Airwave Production Group was formed. Located in Homewood, AL the business had its own offices with a recording studio, and a MIDI room. Airwave had a spot production room as well, where voice-overs, narrations, and audio books were produced. Airwave produced projects over the next 10 years for many companies and notable charities such as United Cerebral Palsy. Conrad was able to help Airwave partner with a local radio station WRAX, better known as 107.7- the X and created what is now referred to as "Live in the X-Lounge".
Between 1998-2004, Marc helped produce seven X Lounge albums at Airwave, bringing in national musical talents such as Sister Hazel, Edwin McCain, Creed, Matchbox 20, Train, Hootie and the Blowfish, The Black Crowes, Widespread Panic, John Mayer, Five for Fighting, Coldplay, Maroon 5, R.E.M., Jason Mraz, Switchfoot, and Mark Broussard. Conrad later moved onto other endeavors and Airwave then changed ownership to Marc and Joel Bouchillon. They maintained offices in Homewood, AL until Marc was unable to work in office due to his cancer diagnosis in 2004. After Marc's cancer was in remission, he relocated Airwave Studios to the basement of his home where he continued to operate, create and produce custom music and projects for clients until his passing.
